I'm the first commenter and seeing 13 views when this person is trying to build the next netflix? I mean I can see why – netflix really dropped in interest, and there's so many free sources, but still.
I'm wondering (because I don't live in Israel) – does Israel have issues to access of videos on free platforms – like YouTube where there's censorship, lack of access, etc. enough to warrant a need for a streaming service like Netflix? Are people wealthy in time, money, interest, need, etc. to warrant an israeli version of netflix?
does israel have netflix? If so, tehn would you need an israeli version? I kind of can see the need in that way – as I use vegan apps to only see vegan content. But I also take it from other platforms too.
I think some of my questions are being answered by the interview.
I get it now – this service is needed, because news outlets are slacking. COuldn't understand until 1/3 of the way in! lol
how does someone who doesn't live in Israel get to see this? I mean I see the website, but is this Israeli American content, or Israeli content – who's supposed to be watching this where and how?
I saw some of the content – pretty nice selection starting out.
38:00 as a person who does visit foreign sites a lot and sees what's translated in English – I can say what gets translated and what doesn't:
– usually what's difficult to transfer – images, constant updates, etc.
– condensation of info
– info that's really proud of being a part of a nationality won't get translated, but kept for the country. Outsiders need to keep up by doing more work – because it's not for them. So it's about treating outsiders like outsiders and keeping the good stuff for insiders.
